For the past four years at Pulaski High School, there has been a day designated for community service. It’s a day where freshmen, sophomores and seniors scatter throughout the Pulaski Community benefiting things other than themselves while the juniors take the ACT WorkKeys. This year, Community Service Day is Wednesday, March 21.
Services that students can be apart of this year include: making bears for St. Vincent children, moving heavy items at the Pulaski Museum, cleaning at ABVM, band music in action, cleaning St. Edward and Isidore Church, helping out at the NEW Zoo, Wojcik’s Christmas Tree Farm, Wildlife Sanctuary, MCL, Baytek, Brown County Sportsman Club, PACE, Shining Stars Daycare Centers (Suamico/Hobart), Glen-brook, Hillcrest, Sunnyside, Lannoye and Plants of Distinction, cleaning up Indian Trails Park & Conservatory, tutoring PCMS French students, VFW spring cleaning, fitness through painting, making blankets with Lions Club, International Club cul-tural activities at Glenbrook, choir music in action and lastly, cleaning Community Park and Memorial Park. Pach commented, “I hope that while our PHS students are serving out in the com-munity, they will realize that no matter how big or small their task might be, they are still making an impact on someone’s life.” Students are reminded to wear their Red Raider gear while serving in the community on March 21 to show off their Pulaski Pride.
